Statement

My Currency - Blood Works aim to question the validity of the U.S. monetary system. In a time of insurmountable debt and negligence in many facets of government, my work explores relationships to currency including the emotional, political and actual value placed on it. By cross-pollinating references to the military industrial complex, by way of printing images of weapons on U.S currency, the work investigates how arms trading have not only monetary consequences, but deadly ones as well. The use of the two-dollar bill is also ambiguous as its perception is widely varied.
