Interiors for an E.H.M (Economic Hit Man)

"It's a time of beefed up mass communications on steroids that's driven a kind of re-staging of the colonial project. Set in this glutinous time, Terranova chronicles the imagines lives of a new powerful but tacky elite as it jet sets about in a vast new cultural landscape of synthetic pleasures amidst the conquering of new real and virtual territories for the ubiquitous 'free market'."

- High Times in the Military Establishment: Patterns of Desire in the work of Jonathan Terranova by Rudolph Hudsucker - White Fungus - Issue 11 - pg.89

Interiors for an E.H.M is a solo exhibition by Jonathan Terranova and will be integrated within the slick and modern furnishings at Domus' showroom in Atlanta, GA. This will be the first time portions of Infiltration of Opulent Militarism will be shown in conjunction with the series Allegory of the Threat Level. The presentation of both series together, within chosen areas of Domus? showroom, is used as device to re-contextualize the viewers understanding of the work and its relationship to U.S military interventionism.

"Jonathan Terranova's 'Infiltration of Opulent Militarism' opens our eyes to the ways the military has crept into our lives. It inspires us to turn this around and dedicate ourselves to creating a peaceful, sustainable, and just world."
