West 39th St. Studio in NYC and a call to writers
Today is my first day down here at the West 39th St. studio. It’s located at the Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts, so there are tons of other studios and artists around, but I haven’t seen any yet… It actually doesn’t seem like anyone is in their studio. Maybe they are just really quiet or because it is Monday; who knows? The studio is a really nice space with big windows and some natural lighting. It easily doubles the largest studio at SCAD Atlanta.
I’ve been contemplating whether or not I should keep updating this blog. As you can see the past few days I haven’t. I was running around looking at places to live once I graduate. I’ve been spending time with the family and I went to a show that a friend of mine had a work in over on Broome St. in Soho. I’ve been keeping busy, but do each of these actions warrant a blog update? On the other hand, maybe more updates will bring more viewers and more comments? Hmm…..
This blog is a super easy way to let everyone know what I am up to, but seriously, who wants to know exactly what I am doing everyday? I doubt it’s a random person online or even a friend on facebook. Most people treat a facebook status update like their personal blog. It seems that most people on social networking sites don’t navigate away from them to see what someone on their friend’s list is doing. They just check their friend’s status.
Anyway, enough rambling. My self referential exhibition catalog is finished and I’m looking for anyone who writes about art, fashion, interior design, or politics to write a review of the works, so I can include them in the exhibition catalog. Anyone who is interested, email me at jist(at)jonathanterranova(dot)com and I’ll give you the link to download the catalog. Or you can just go to my portfolio site and use the contact form on the bottom of any page.
That about does it. Until next time…
